Chris Phillips ATC, CSCS

Chris is the owner and operator of Compete Performance. He was the Head
Athletic Trainer with the Los Angeles Sol of Women's Professional Soccer.
Chris spent two seasons with  the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football
League. Prior to the Avengers, Chris spent eight years in the National Hockey
League with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Washington Capitals.

Brandon Lambert has joined the Compete Performance staff as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Brandon
brings superior experience as both an athlete and coach to the staff. He is currently the Running Backs and
Linebackers Coach for the Tustin High School Varsity Football Team.  His certifications include: National
Council of Strength and Fitness, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and the American Heart
Associations First Aid and CPR.

Brandon was a local 3-sport stand out at Tustin high (football, basketball, track). He earned a football
scholarship to Boise State University. He spent one season at Boise State before transferring to Santa Ana
College. At Santa Ana, he was a junior college all American linebacker before accepting a scholarship to San
Jose State university. In 2002 he spent time on the practice squad for the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena
Football League.

Brandon works with both our private clients as well as teams and directs our Indoor Adult Fitness Program.
Staff
Elysia Tsai, M.Ed., ATC is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers
Association.  In 1999 she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Linfield
College and also became a CPR and First Aid instructor for the American Red Cross.  Before
entering graduate school she was the Athletic Trainer at Canyon High School and Ando and
Aston Physical Therapy and at El Dorado High School and Caldwell Physical Therapy.  In 2004
she obtained her Master of Education in Developmental Kinesiology specializing in Sport
Psychology from Bowling Green State University.  Elysia returned to California and was the
Athletic Trainer at Santa Margarita Catholic High School for 3 years.  During that time she
pursued the development of dynamic balance board idea.  In 2007, Si-Boards LLC was
started as her ideas became real products.  She continues to work as an Athletic Trainer for
Mater Dei High School and for the United States Soccer Federation.  She covers local events
and travels with the National Youth Soccer teams.  Elysia has special interests in balance
training, concussion management and challenging athletes beyond their perceived potential.
 She started at Compete Performance when the new facility opened and enjoys working with
the youth programs.
 
Ben Torres is a certified Athletic Trainer through the NATA and Personal Trainer through the NSCA. He graduated from
LaVerne University. Ben is currently the Athletic Trainer for King Boxing Enterprises. Previously, Ben was the Athletic
Trainer for the the Los Angeles Sol of Women's Professional Soccer, San Jose Sabrecats of the Arena Football League
and the Lingerie Football League. While with Compete Performance, Ben has run the Beach City Lightning and Capo
Valley HS Football programs and focuses on our soccer and hockey programs.
Shannon Ehrhardt attended Bismarck State College for 2 years before transferring to Minnesota State University in
2005, playing for the Women’s soccer team for the next two years and receiving the NSIC Academic All Conference
Award in 2006.  In 2007, Shannon graduated from MSUM with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She is a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and recently
finished the Massage Therapy Program at the CNI College in Orange. Shannon is involved with both our youth and adult
programs as well as offers sports massage at our Lake Forest office.
